Period Patterns number 26, Houpelandes, c. 1390-1460 A.D., has 6 houpelandes for either sex, with sleeves and necklines interchangeable. The sleeves and cotehardie underneath are faked, but the fake sleeves can be left off and replaced by a cotehardie or a 2nd houpelande.
View I - Houpelande with front slit and a standing collar, lined dagged calf-length hem, long lined dagged angle-wing sleeves, and wrist-length undersleeves.
View II - Houpelande with front slit and a high standing collar, thigh-length hem, and bag sleeves with self-cuff.
View III - Collarless houpelande with front slit, knee-length hem, shallow angle-wing sleeves, and wrist-length undersleeves.
View IV - Houpelande with front slit and a turrned-over collar, floor-length hem, lined floor-length split tube sleeves, and wrist-length undersleeves.
View V - Houpeland with front slit and a contrasting collar, floor-length hem, lined long angel-wing sleeves, and knuckle-length undersleeves.
View VI - Houpeland with a V-neck collar, floor length hem, lined knuckle-length tube sleeves, wrist-length undersleeves, and neck insert.
Men's sizes are the chest size, without ease.
