Period Patterns number 23, Men's Cotehardies, c. 1340-1420, contains patterns for 5 cotehardies and three hoods (sizes 36-48).

View I - Tight hip-length cotehardie with tight buttoned sleeves and tippets, slashed at the hem and laced to the hem. Worn with a lined cowl hood. Shown parti-color for suggestion.

View II - Puffed-chest thigh length cotehardie with high standing collar and medium angle-wing sleeves; buttoned to the hem.

View III - Tight ankle - length cotehardie with full sleeves tapering to the wrist; buttoned to the crotch. Worn with a hood with liripipe.

View IV - Tight knee length cotehardie with dagged hem, tippet oversleeves, buttoned undersleeves. Worn with a dagged hood with liripipe.

View V - Puffed-chest thigh length cotehardie with small standing collar and full sleeves tapering to the wrist. Shown decorated heraldically for suggestion.

The shirts and hose worn with cotehardies are not included in this pattern, but are available in other Period Patterns.

Each pattern includes pages of historical notes, for background, variation, and enhancement of the finished costume.
