Period Patterns number 43, Men's Italian Renaissance Garments, c. 1420-1500, contains patterns for 3 shirts, 3 hose, 2 codpieces, a tabard and a cioppa or gown (sizes 36-48 included).
View I - Hip length skirted doublet with puffed upper sleeves, tight lower sleeves, and small collar, laced to the hem. Worn over a shirt, with separate fitted hose laced to the hem.
View II - Crotch length skirted doublet with puffed upper sleeves, tight slit lower sleeves laced over the shirt, and high collar. Worn over a shirt, with separate fitted hose laced to the waist.
View III - Waist length doublet with tight slit upper and lower sleeves laced over the shirt, worn with joined hose laced to the hem.
View IV - Short full sideless tabard pleated to the hem; worn over view II.
View V - Knee length gown pleated to the hem, with halfcircle sleeves pleated to the armhole.
