Folkwear Sewing Pattern Number 203
Edwardian Underthings
Includes sizes XS - 3XL
Pattern condition: Uncut, factory folded and complete with instructions
Folkwear's popular Edwardian Underthings pattern offers three garments that may be charmingly finished with your choice of eyelet or lace. Instructions are also included for hand-crocheted lace and feather stitch embroidery.
The bodice of the Camisole is accentuated by clusters of tucks and optional lace insertions. Slightly high-waisted and fitted in back, it is bloused in front, with soft gathers falling from ribbon beading of lace or eyelet along the rounded back edge. The armhole is also trimmed with lace or eyelet edging. The camisole closes with drawstrings at neckline and waist, and a buttoned front opening.
The gored Petticoat falls to a wide flounce over a dust ruffle at the hemline. The drawstring waist ties at a back placket opening. The petticoat may easily be shortened for contemporary wear.
Knee-length Drawers or "knickers," gathered at the curved waistband, are constructed with a front gusset and two buttoned side plackets. They are finished with ruffles at the knees. Petticoat and drawers are also decorated with tucking and/or lace or eyelet.
