The shirt is meant to hang loosely but not too large. Measure across your back ACROSS BACK WIDTH and also ACROSS YOUR SHOULDERS. Then measure the pattern and select the size that will fit with enough ease for comfort, say 2" on each side. (This includes seam allowance).
Review the length of the shirt, and measure that length on your body from your mid shoulder. If you are comfortable with this great! If you'd like to lengthen the shirt, note the adjustable lines on the pattern and adjust accordingly.
Sleeves are not meant to be large, so just ensure the sleeve piece matching the size you have chosen accommodates your arm, armhole and length.
